The Czech Philharmonic is currently on tour in Japan. According to press reports they are ok.
Apparently, they were outside the zone of major damage when the quake hit. Several upcoming concerts have been cancelled.

Can you imagine the chances of being on a bridge when the quake struck? How scary that must have been.

The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino is currently touring Japan with zubin Mehta. They actually played a concert in the past two days and will continue on with their tour.

The Czech government has sent planes to bring the Philharmonic and other Czech nationals back to Prague.
