Sorry to be old and fuddy-duddy. However, as a matter of decorum, let's all agree that the word "retarded" should always be used in a proper context - NEVER to describe something undesirable.

I think you are misinterpreting or being a bit too politically correct. If you break down the sentence, and use the other equally acceptable dictionary definition of the word retarded, it is absolutely not offensive.

Rarely is the word Retarded ever used for the what it once was.

While I don't completely agree with the original statement, as there is a process to auditions (fair or not), I do agree, it can be retarded at times. And I think you know what I mean.

Please, can we not split hairs on such a worth while debate?
