for the bso, the rep on the tape list is not far off from the live audition list, so i think it's a good prep anyways. is it not better that there's a bit of screening, before 300 people showing up to play, no?--i don't think that's productive either...

Just heard that Levine is leaving the BSO after just a very short time. Anyone know why? I also found out that the BSO violin CD rep remains the same from one audition to another.

Back injury. He's been cancelling gigs left and right.

The BSO tape round requires a different Mozart concerto from the TWO they offer as options for the actual audition. That pisses me off. The rest of the list is reasonable, though.

does anyone know/is willing to share what the tape rep is?
